The 2022-2023 season was a battle.  The Nettes moved into a new classification and region (7-AAA) and found themselves in elite company.  Five of the Region 7-AAA teams began the season ranked in the top 10 and 4 teams ended the season in the top 10.   The Nettes started off the season hot with a big win over state ranked Fannin County on their way to becoming ETC champs.  Next, they defeated old 7-AAAA rival NW convincingly on the road as well as pereniall standout Sonoraville at home.  The Nettes had #2 ranked Lumpkin on the ropes before Christmas before falled 56-59 and then ended 2022 with a tournament title at Pope.  The new year brought some adversity with an OT loss at state ranked White Co and dismantling at #3 Wesleyan.  The Nettes regrouped and knocked of Dawson and White Co at home, played Wesleyan close and went in the region tournament as the 4 seed.  A disappointing loss to Dawson at the buzzer 50-53 sent the Nettes home with no chance at a state tournament run and a 19-7 season.  It was a new emotion for these Nettes as all involved had experienced an Elite 8 & Final four run the past two seasons.  Those returning are now hungry and worked toward a second opportunity to compete in this new region.

The 2021-2022  Season was a roller coaster ride.  The Nettes had Back 2 Back region titles, a first in program history, as their focus for the season.  They fell short in the region title game, but the loss set up a determined post season run that landed them in the Final 4.   After the 4th game of the regular season, the Nettes sat with a 2-2 record and back to back losses to Fannin & Calhoun.  They then went on a record tying 21 game win streak that secured an undefeated region record and a 1 seed going into the region tournament.  Coming out of region as the 2 seed, the Nettes hosted Riverdale in the 1st round of the state playoffs.  An 83-44 win sent them on the road to 1-AAAA Region Champs Doughtery.  A 14 point comeback in the 4th quarter then secured a sweet 16 match up with another region champ, this time Jefferson from 8-AAAA.  Again, the Nettes mananged another 4th quarter comeback down 12.  A trip to the Final Four was earned and the Nettes would face Marist, in their 3rd match up with a 1 seed in 6 days.  The game at Ft. Valley State University was well attended by the Dragon Nation and they saw the Nettes fall just short of a championship berth with a 35-38 loss to Marist.  The 26-4 record was the most wins in a season since a matching 26-4 record by the 1999-2000 Nettes which also made it to the Final Four.  This year's Nettes also set a program record for the least PPG allowed at 35.1.

The 2020-2021 Season was one for the record books.  The Nettes captured the first region title since the 1999-2000 season.  They took the #1 seed earned for the State Tournament and advanced to the Elite 8.  These Nettes balanced scoring and defense averaging 60.2 ppg and only allowing 41 ppg.  They set a new record for 3's in a season with 17.  They had three players selected All-Region and finished with a 22-5 record.

The 2019-2020 Varsity Nettes had a great season.  They went 19-10 any qualified for state for the 4th year in a row.  The Nettes were the highest scoring team in the region this year, averaging 67.8 ppg and finished 3rd in the region.  Senior Mykenzie Weaver reached the 2,000 point milestone on Jan 17th and finished her career 2nd on the All-Time scorers list for girls basketball in Pickens County with 2,154 points.  The Nettes notched wins over 7 other teams that qualified for the state tournament.

The 2018-2019 Varsity Nettes had a solid season.  They went 16-13 any qualified for state yet again.  The Nettes were the 3rd highest scoring team in the region.  This season, two players reached the 1,000 point scoring milestone (Senior Torie Williams and Junior Mykenzie Weaver).  The Nettes notched wins over 6 other teams that qualified for the state tournament and had 9 wins over teams with a winning record.

The 2017-2018 Varsity Nettes experienced an outstanding season.
